Wanting to meet some light painters in the US, I flew to there to discover Red Rocks in Denver and The water Tower in Pueblo. When I snuck up to the roof and saw the sunset, it inspired me to paint some of my waterlilies while trying something new with the focus on the background lights. I liked when out of focus the lights become soft orange bubbles.
I was graciously hosted by Dan and Reagan Roberts. I especially enjoyed meeting Johnny Griffin who makes the most amazing light tools and was so much fun to collaborate with before the fire alarm forced us out of the building earlier than planned. He made this mechanical spirograph, that was amazing to compose with. Thanks Johnny!
