NY 2021 Collaboration
A creative collaboration explores thoughts and sensations about reality and dream by incorporating them into movement and then into a sequence of images, which in turn becomes the dream within a dream. The process from dance to animation is part of the performance, where the camera plays a role on stage as the dream catcher.
The reflective paint on the dancers under the ultraviolet light appeals to a dream-like abstraction, while in the white light the paint disappears and the body is flesh-like, more real. The play between the two tells the story of “Who Dreamed Who?”
